Hi-Spy Panoramic Viewing Machines

Visitor using a Hi-Spy viewing machine overlooking the coast

Le Naturaliste is an authorized reseller of Hi-Spy Viewing Machines (Pinnacle Scopes), a Canadian manufacturer of viewing scopes since 1991.

You've seen them at lookouts, on piers and panoramic terraces: those iconic pedestal binoculars that turn a beautiful view into a memorable experience. Built in Cobourg, Ontario, Hi-Spy machines equip tourist sites around the world — and we can now install them at yours.

Why Hi-Spy?

  • Made in Canada since 1991 — designed, built and assembled in Cobourg, Ontario. Manufacturer warranty and parts from right here.
  • All-aluminum construction — superior corrosion resistance, ideal for marine environments and Quebec winters.
  • Nitrogen-sealed waterproof optics — no fogging, no leaks, rain or shine.
  • Vandal-resistant by design — "never-ending" focus knob that can't be broken off, overbuilt mechanisms borrowed from the trucking industry.
  • Enchroma lens option — give colorblind visitors a true-colour view, a distinctive addition for any public site.
  • Customization — custom colours, adapted height, commemorative plaque, donation/fundraising option.

Where to install them

Lookouts and scenic rest stops • Municipalities and regional parks • Hotels, inns and resorts • Piers, marinas and ferries • Observation towers • Restaurant terraces • Private homes with a view

How it works

  1. Contact us — describe your site, how many machines you need and your timeline.
  2. Custom quote — model, options and freight (based on your delivery address): we prepare a firm, no-surprise price.
  3. Order and delivery — 50% deposit to confirm your order. Net 30 terms available upon prior approval (government agencies); otherwise, balance due upon delivery confirmation.

Delivery and installation

Delivery — the manufacturer ships directly to the site you designate. Freight charges are established according to your delivery address and detailed in your quote.

Installation — we resell the machines; we do not install them. That said, it's work any general contractor can handle without difficulty: plan for a solid base, ideally concrete.
