The Kowa BD II 42 XD 10x42 is a wide-angle roof-prism binocular built around Kowa's proprietary XD (extra-low dispersion) objective lenses, rich in fluorite crystal to deliver edge-to-edge sharpness with virtually zero chromatic aberration. A magnesium-alloy chassis keeps the body rugged yet lightweight, while phase- and dielectric-coated prisms and full multi-layer anti-reflective coatings produce bright, high-contrast images with natural colour from dawn to dusk. Waterproof and fog-proof, with twist-up eyecups and a smooth aluminium focus wheel, it is an ideal companion for birding and nature observation.
