The Kowa BD II 42 XD 8x42 is a wide-angle roof-prism binocular built around Kowa's proprietary XD (extra-low dispersion) objective lenses, rich in fluorite crystal to deliver edge-to-edge sharpness with virtually zero chromatic aberration. Its exceptionally wide 8.2° field of view makes it easy to find and track moving subjects, while phase- and dielectric-coated prisms and fully multi-coated optics produce bright, high-contrast images with natural colour. Waterproof and fog-proof, with generous eye relief and a smooth focus wheel, it is an ideal companion for birding and nature observation.
